What is the best alternative to UiPath?

Who are UiPath's biggest competitors?

How much does UiPath Document Understanding cost?
UiPath doesn't publish it: Standard and Enterprise say "Contact Sales for pricing." IXP also needs Platform Units; Document Understanding uses up to 0.2 a page to classify and extract; we found no dollar price per unit.
Is there a free version of UiPath?
Yes: the Community plan, free for eligible users and hosted in the EU, includes Document Understanding, capped at 50 documents an hour of up to 2 pages, and 100 IXP runtime pages a month. Standard's 60-day trial is non-production.
What happened to UiPath Document Understanding?
UiPath now sells its document AI as UiPath IXP; the old Document Understanding page redirects to its IDP page. Document Understanding still runs as its own service, reached through IXP.
Can UiPath process documents on-premises?
Partly. Document Understanding self-hosts on Automation Suite, air-gapped too, without its generative features; UiPath's docs list IXP as cloud-only today. Docsumo is cloud only. ABBYY FlexiCapture and Tungsten Automation also run on-premises.
Do UiPath reviewers need a license?
Yes. Reviewers work in Validation Station through Action Center, and each needs a user license that includes it, such as Basic, Plus or Pro. Docsumo's Business plan has unlimited users.
How does UiPath compare with Automation Anywhere and Power Automate?
All three pair RPA with a document step. Power Automate lists prices ($15 per user a month, paid yearly), though new customers buy Copilot Credits for documents; UiPath and Automation Anywhere quote document processing through sales.
