Vertikal RMS automated COI verification with ACORD form capture
Vertikal RMS, a risk management platform, used Docsumo to capture data from ACORD certificates of insurance, moving past legacy OCR and an outsourced data entry team.
A construction subcontractor's certificate of insurance in two parts: an ACORD 25 certificate and a two-page endorsement, both PDFs. Docsumo read $2,000,000 each occurrence, a $5,000,000 umbrella limit, additional insured marked yes and a policy expiry of 03/31/2027, and classified the endorsement's inclusions and exclusions. The certificate passed Vertikal RMS's rules and was ready for review, and approved data went to the COI tracking system by API.
